This is such a fun game! I absolutely loved the clever details and humor. I found myself actually looking forward to seeing what would happen next and reading all the dialogue, which is rare because I usually skip those parts in games.

My only small issue was that navigation became a little difficult once my family got bigger. I might have just missed it, but I couldn't figure out how to zoom out.

Other than that, the game has so much charm and is full of surprises. You can really tell how much thought and care went into it. I'd definitely recommend taking some time to check it out!

This game is especially sticky, like the sap from my mangled family tree. I love the absurdity of some of the portraits that matches the irreverent tone perfectly. I made the mistake of letting a picky eater trait enter my lineage and went bankrupt as slowly my entire family became too picky for what I can only assume was the gruel I was feeding them. I'm excited to see where this goes. 5/5 limbs on my consanguineously wrought child

behold, my unkillable family

that isnt even half of the family tree, it doesnt all fit on the screen!

Absolutely loved this. Would be nice to be more easily able to zoom out and if the UI were smaller. Took me a bit to figure out the retirement versus death thing, and might be cool to have more info on chances of certain traits being passed on. Will definitely be coming back to play this more.

It can be surprisingly difficult, especially just before the soft ending. I eventually had so many family members on the board that the whole game crashed, lol. I was engrossed for hours....

i finally won a game and omg that plot twist!

I've gotten unbelievably obsessed with this game in the last 10 hours.

It's very fun, I love games like this, and it was very well designed. I like how when you hover over a card you can see how everyone's traits effect its success. I do have to gripes, however; the first is that you don't know what any of the stuff do (like literacy, or fitness), it would be nice if there was a selection with a list of them (or at least a list of the ones you've discovered, or even just the ones you currently have). The second is a lot bigger deal, and did lose me my run, though it's possible I did something wrong; some of the stats have things like '+ 3 to intelligence, - 1 to social', the logic (at least to me) is that it would average out to a '+2' given it's both an intelligence and social, but it didn't; it was just '-1', which like I said, costed me my run.

this looks FANTASTIC omg
i love games centered around family trees, theres barely any of them, and this one is a roguelite card game as well?? sign me tf up

one bug: the bottommost possible personal traits on event cards are offscreen when playing in fullscreen on a 1200 x 1080 monitor

also, not a bug, but i keep accidentally clicking on "skip" when i reach a renown milestone and skipping the family bonuses :sob:

This game is great, I love how you used real portraits. One minor bug I noticed is that a child can end up with two copies of the same trait when they're born, I had a kid with two "charming" traits.

i got a kid with two "nurturing" traits

I think this is by design; for inbred you only get a penalty once you have multiple of them...

The overall game design is excellent and fun! I’ve spent a night playing and building a massive family. The color coded hover effects for event cards to show family traits and skills are very helpful with gameplay.

Very fun and enjoyable little game, played it twice and would happily play more if it evolved a little more over time.

Really great! Both in concept and execution. Hope to see it on Steam sometime. It can get difficult to read and the UI is way oversized in my humble opinion, forces you to zoom out on the whole family because there's not enough space for them.

Great game, well put together!

I really enjoyed it, spent more than an hour on it probably. Sometimes it went a little to fast, and it was hard to control the family and felt like a rolling boulder in the second half of gameplay. I wish there were some more unique/memorable events, which would make it feel more like writing a story. Moment to moment gameplay is great, and the trait mechanics are fitting. I wish I could decide a bit more the direction for my family.

found a bug, if a rebellious descendant picks a spouse and is rejected, the game freezes

the game is fun, i liked trying to make someone really good a fighting, sad that there were not many events that use physical, also, it would be neat if the parents were rebellious they could also choose how their children are raised

Ah thanks for playing! We fixed the bug with the rebellious kids. For the physical events - were you able to buy all the different physical check event cards at the shop (knight for hire, military campaign, etc.) - or was it not enough even with those additions?
